I’ve been reflecting a lot as I observe the disruption happening in our world becoming more pronounced right now. It doesn’t surprise me that people want to be heard, especially at this pivotal time. Wanting to be heard is an essential part of who we are.
More people are finding the courage to speak their truth. While this isn’t easy to do, it is necessary if you want to live an authentic life.
Yet many find themselves in a place where it doesn’t feel safe to speak your truth. I’ve felt this way too at different times throughout my life.
As I listen to and observe others share their stories and interact, it’s become clear that I’ve been stifling my truth. Are you feeling this too? I feel you and want to remind you of the importance of owning your truth. It’s not helpful for you or those you support.
It’s unlike me to be quiet. Vulnerable share:
At times my truth hasn’t been accepted, it’s even been shut down. So I get quiet.
Now I realize not everyone is ready to hear or listen to one’s truth. It’s hard to shift our beliefs that are deeply ingrained to even be open to listening to another belief. It’s confronting and uncomfortable, I get it!
I’m a highly intuitive Visionary. It’s easy for me to see what others don’t.
I’m a disruptor who helps people shake up the status quo and achieve goals beyond what they thought possible. I am often on the leading edge of change, a thoughtful, calibrated risk taker who’s not afraid to try things others aren’t willing to do, to make a difference in the world. And I do it unapologetically. These are my unique gifts and my clients gain huge value from them.
Courageous leaders, lead. They show the way and work at keeping their head out of the sand.
It’s not because I like to go against the grain, it’s because in my heart of hearts, I know I am not here to stifle my (or anyone’s) voice. I’m here to lead others in a powerful way.
As I recenter, find my voice and speak my truth, I want to invite you to listen to and speak your’s especially if you’ve temporarily lost it.
What’s important about speaking your truth?
Coaches are truth seekers. We are here to seek our truth and of those we support. When we fall out of alignment, we can feel off until something nudges us back to honouring who we are.
Part of the work we do in our Coach Approach System Academy ™ Level II: Mastery, currently in session, is to help our coaches lead Masterfully. This includes speaking authentically, from the depths of your inner knowing. It’s a practice of living and leading from the inside out.
What is happening in the world right now is creating a huge opportunity for truth seekers to rise and authentic leaders to lead.
Why does it matter?
When you have a safe place to express yourself without judgment, you find your voice and discover the importance of speaking your truth. You will find courage, confidence and strength to own your truth. The more aligned you are with your truth, the more energetic you will feel and, the world will open up possibilities you may never have imagined.
Inviting open dialogue with others (no agenda) and really listen without forcing an opinion, you create a space for others to share their truth, and you help make the world a better place.
Are you living your truth?
Your truth comes from something deep within (your inner wisdom or intuition). When you know this and own it, you can lead from here, creating more joy, meaning and purpose in your life.
What happens when you lose your voice? You shrink, and you are not here to shrink, you are here to do amazing things in the world.
I want to invite you to think about your truth. Are you living in alignment with it?
If not, what needs to shift?
